We are pleased to announce a new social marketing campaign. We developed
this media campaign in order to deliver healthy messages of risk reduction
to the Latino community. We hope it also attracts the interest of Latino
gay and bisexual men. If this is your first time here, we welcome you. Feel
free to explore this site and learn bout us. We hope you are able to utilize
the services we offer here at AGUILAS/El ambiente.
With this campaign our hopes are to continue building a sense of respect
and understanding for the diversity within the Latino community and other
communities in general. We conducted focus groups in order to find out what
was going on in the daily lives of gay and bisexual Latino men in the San
Francisco Bay Area. Our members were involved in the creative process from
the very beginning. They contributed with ideas and personal photos that
illustrated all the campaign ads. Their real concerns made us take in consideration
the many barriers we face in order to reduce the risk of HIV. Issues like
isolation, community building, and the importance of family and friends
are some of them.
We hope you are able to contribute as well. If you would like to contribute
by proposing a workshop, or by volunteering your time, let us know. If you
would like to discuss issues that are of a concern to you, we are here to
listen as well. We also provide free one-on-one private counseling sessions
for gay and bisexual Latino men. Call us if you would like to schedule a

Estamos orgullosos de anunciar una nueva campaña de medios publicitarios
de tipo social. Esta campaña fue realizada para exponer mensajes de reducción
de riesgo para la comunidad Latina. Esperamos que tambien atraigan a hombres
Latinos gays y bisexuales a nuestro programa. Si esta es su primera vez
aqui, le damos la bienvenida. Explore este sitio y aprenda mas sobre quienes

Con esta campaña nuestros deseos es el continuar edificando un sentido de
respeto y entendimiento a la diversidad dentro de la comunidad Latina y
entre la comunidad en general. Conducimos varios grupos de opiniones para
conocer que es lo importante en la vida diaria de los hombres gays y bisexuales
en el Area de la Bahía de San Francisco. Nuestros miembros se involucraron
en el proceso de creatividad desde el principio. Ellos contribuyeron al
darnos sus ideas y fotografias personales que illustraron todos los anuncios
publicitarios. Sus inquietudes reales nos hacen tomar en consideración las
barreras que enfrentamos al tratar de reducir el riesgo al VIH. Asuntos
como la soledad, el crear un sentido de comunidad y la importancia de la
familia y amigos son unas de estas inquietudes.
